Well, Eastwood makes good products and thats that. Ive used there resto paints on carbs, air cleaners, exhaust manifolds, interior parts.... You get the idea. Well I havent used any on my 1970 Challenger R/T yet, but I have on parts that Ive restored and on my 1971 Dodge Demon. My father and I restore mopar parts and sell them on Ebay. Been doing so for about 8 years or so now. Heres some pics of my 1970 Dodge Challenger that Iam restoring and will be using there products on. Ill also post some pics of parts weve done. I just have to get over to my dads to get some pics of the parts, but for starters heres some of the Challenger.

My last Eastwood order contained 2 mostly empty cans of rust converter, factoring in the time and expense of returning their product it isn't even worth the effort. I am done with their product line....

Eastwood offers some things that are exclusive and other things that can be found elsewhere for way lower prices. They are O.K.   ::) on shipping time. My last order didn't ship out for 2-3 days after I paid for it. So that put me out an extra week since I live on the West coast. Had it gone out the next day, I would've had it for the upcoming week-end.

My  :2cents:: Shop smart. You will find significant price differences on the very same item. They do re-labeling; they are the product when they're not.

I too have been happy with their products I've used so far.  It'll be cool to see your car as it continues to get restored.

BTW: Which part of Wisconsin are you from?  I'm currently in the NE tip, but I know there are quite a few members from all over the state that you could maybe meet up with sometime (71BigBlock is near Superior & there are several members in/near Milwaukee). :dunno:

Wanna see some serious mark up?

Eastwood: http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-soda-blaster.html
$279.99

Harbor Freight: http://www.harborfreight.com/110-lb-pressurized-abrasive-blaster-95014.html

$129.99. On sale, off and on at $99.00 or less.
I bought mine for less than $70 bucks because it was the floor model.  :bigshades:

That a $150.00 dollar mark up between them!!!
Same exact unit. Only difference is Eastwood paints their blue.

And they do this with other products as well.
The De Vilbiss paint gun kits are priced out to the moon!

Here's a good one!

Eastwood spot welder: http://www.eastwood.com/resistance-spot-welder-with-6-inch-tongs.html
$699.99

THIS ITEM MAY TAKE 10 DAYS TO 2 WEEKS FOR DELIVERY

Now look closely. No differences except maybe the sticker.

Harbor Freight: http://www.harborfreight.com/115-volt-spot-welder-45689.html
$159.99

It's your money.

I've been happy with the things I've got from EAstwood. I will continue to buy from them. BUT I could do without the daily emails/advertising/spam(dare I say).  :2cents:

I agree with all of you guys. There are ups and down to every company. I dont buy tools from eastwood. Big mark up. I buy those locally just in case some thing is wrong with them I can get them fixed fast. Ive never bought the rust convertor. Alway thought it was better to get rid of the rust and not "chenically change" it. I buy the detail stuff to restore misc. parts. Like the dash repair kit..... and other odds and ends. Cant really think of what I have bought from them. I did by a pint gun from them once and it works great.

I see differences between the two blasters pictured after a quick look.  They are similar, but not the same.  Have you used both blasters?

They changed the color, added their sticker and added a few minor external differences. The biggest give away is the plastic wheels and cylinder shape are identical. It's obvious.

I own a Harbor Freight unit. I upgraded a few things on it. Like they did and saved alot. Wouldn't be hard to turn it into one identical to theirs.
