383 keeps dying???

so my 383 is a built motor with an original dist. and holley double pumper carb it is a build for a blower or nos but up until now was very very streeetable. was driving for about 5 to 10 minutes yesterday and she cut off on me thought it was gas but no i filled it up with 93 and coming out of the gas station she died again. i got it home and kept going around the block but she kept dying every couple of minutes any ideas ?? im lost im sorry if its a newbie question

Could be trash in the fuel system. How is the filter? What were the temps outside?

What do you do to make it start again?  How long before it starts? Does it crank a long time before starting?  We need a little bit of info to diagnose on line. I would guess fuel too.

it was like 35 degrees out and if i let it sit a few minutes it would start back up after cranking for a few times. i didnt check the gas filter but the car was running fine for the past few weeks with no stalling issues. She made an hour ride home after sitting for a month with no issues.

is the balist resistor good? some times you can check them by how loose the terminals are(there is another test for this but ill have to look in my books). is the coil new? you could test it at operateing temp with a volt/ohm meter(bad coil could fail at operating temp) check with spare if you have one .   does the car have a vacuum leak / spray flammible carb cleaner (carefully with air cleaner off) around intake manifold / check for loose and rotton hoses. is the timming still set right ?(set with gauge) set the idle mixture screws at highest vacuum then set the idle with car in drive with someone in car foot on brake (automatic) .
theres more this is good for basics.

check the pick up coil in the dist & ECU both can be intermittent
