Front fender removal
« on: January 10, 2011 - 08:32:25 PM »
I am a complete nube when it comes to restoration and body and need some advice. I have a '72 barracuda that appears to have been wrecked in the past and they got lazy with the bodywork. The passenger side front fender bottom is angled slightly in towards the headlight, pinching the grill actually and the door alignment is poor. The fender itself is good to go, it just is not mounted correctly from damage underneath. Is is possible to remove just the fender to straighten things out or does the whole clip need to come off? I will try and get some pics uploaded tomorrow. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yes the fender will come off by itself. Just remove the bolts on the top of the fender and the two bolts on the bottom under the front of the door and a few other misc bolts and it will come off.  Good luck.  :2thumbs:

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.
