Aftermarket websites
« on: November 24, 2004 - 12:25:46 AM »
OK I need a little help here.   This winter I plan on tearing out my whole interior and replacing everything that needs it.  First off,  I need new door panels.  Mine are really bad and could not be dyed or fixed.  Year One has them but they are really expensive.  I know there has to be websites out there that sells e-body parts cheaper. I have found a few but I know you guys know the best ones and you could save me hours of internet searching.  Thanks.      :patriot:

STAY AWAY FROM JIMSAUTOPARTS!!!  :stomp: They are absolute sh!t!!! Bad customer service, no email replies, heard soooooo many complaints about jimsautoparts, not to mention his grump wife! Yearone are good, a little pricey but for us overseas buyers it's peace of mind knowing that our goods are in good condition when they arrive.

We've had this debate before. I have had NO problem with "Jim's", but others have. I do know that Year One and the Paddock are good, but you pay dearly. I guess it all depends on how desperate you are for what you want.

My experience with Jims was shocking and I've heard from the "top dogs" across the MoPar boards the same thing, they over charged biug time, twice we only found out when checking the back statement, how much - try $350 US on top of there so called "Handling and shippng fees". I am sooooo desperate I went to Jims for some trunk moldings, just over three weeks now and not a word, I've paid for them so I have to reverse it.  :gripe:

Yearone isn't overpriced, there shipping for me is excellent. A few of there items are more expensive than other places, but $0-$10 difference isn't what I'd call over priced, good selection to whiich means you save on shipping for going to other places when buying bulk, plus I get 15% off so that pretty much takes care of the items that are more expensive than the others.  ;D

:iagree: I can drive 40 minutes to Jim`s and pick up my parts but I gladly pay a few dollars more, wait a week and buy from Year One.There is nothing I need bad enough to back to Jim`s.
