Can anyone tell me where the vaccuum line for the A/C comes through the fire-wall on a `70 383 SE challenger? If possible a picture would be GREAT!

Below the blower ,motor to the right you have a approx 1" round hole where the line goes thru. You also need a rubber grommet for this passage. See picture.

Does that grommet screw on from the outside?

I put mine on the inside.

AC cars have the heater control valve coming out of a hole on the other side between the master cylinder and the hinge area. Non-AC cars don't have an engine compartment heater control valve.

:wave:yes,early cars(at least mine.dec -70)had a grommet with 2 holes one for vaccum and 1 for the cable.

I looked at it again & the grommet seems to have 2 holes in it & yes it is an early / oct built car
