So soldered wire on, reattached steering wheel, attached lead wire to horn button.  Minus the horn relay, everything should be working, which brings us to the next problem:

I cheaped out and ordered this guy:
http://www.ecrater.com/p/10052260/horn-relay-chrysler-plymouth-charger?keywords=ecrator%2073%20horn%20relay%20barracuda

HOWEVER, it does not match my gold Cryco 3513206 horn relay (other numbers on it are 36033-K, 3541).

I'm not seeing a lot of matching horn relays out there for this one.  It APPEARS based on other listings for this that this normally comes out of a 71/72 Cuda/Challenger???

I don't mind if its an original/restored part, just want a working part.

Also a lot of listings show 3579204, which appears the same as the 3513206, but I'm not sure if they are compatible or not...

Can anyone provide some guidance?

Alright.  Been a while since I've worked on this one, but I'm back at it now.

The current problem is that depressing the horn button causes sparks to fly at the horn button, if one of the following is true:
1.  the horn relay is in
2.  i've jumpered sockets 1 and 2 where the horn relay goes.

I'm now scratching my head at this one.  In scenario #2 above, according to the manual, if the horn relay is bad, the horn should sound; if it doesn't, my button/wiring is bad.  But it didn't say anything about sparks...  :dunno:

It was the horn relay after all.  3rd horn relay and everything is working.
