AAR Hood
« on: January 22, 2011 - 01:03:58 PM »
Has anyone bought or seen the AAR hoods that either SHOWCAR-BODYPARTS or AAR QUALITY FIBERGLASS offers?

Does anyone know of a vendor who manufactures carbon fiber body parts, hoods deck lids, spoilers etc? I responded to the SGCUDA thread about this a while back and have never seen any additional info.

I am looking for quality not a $200 deal.

I just went to car show today and AAR was there with many of their hoods on display.  Extremely high quality, but they're not cheap.  You can just bolt it on and drive, no finishing work required.  Many have commented the underside finish is too nice for a correct restoration.

As soon as I sell my ralley rims I'm going to get a new T/A hood for my car from them.

I just got in line for a T/A hood from AAR. It's about an eight month wait Katfish. Sales person told me they would get in touch two weeks before its ready to confirm shipping details. I figured if I got in line now, I'd have it for Christmas.
AAR said they don't list the T/A hood on the website because of the backlog. T/A hood business must be good!

From all I have seen and heard AAR is a quality hood, not a $200 piece of junk. Probably your best bet in fiberglass  :2cents:
