Hey Joey,

I am sorry to hear about your job loss and tough summer. My hat is off to you for working so hard. So many others would just give up or quit. You are an inspiration and speaking of inspiration you've must watch this youtube video of Nick Vujicic. He was born with no arms or legs and is an AMAZING individual. Please everyone watch this. It will give you strength to get back up when you are down. Bring tissues!!

Finally !! My new job starts Wens or Thurs . I'll be making deliveries for a local tool / supply place .

Pros:
5 days a week M-F full time
1st shift 7-4 or 7-3 if I do not take lunch
All major holidays off
1 week vac first year, 2 weeks after that
Medical insur
5 personal days per year
For extra money I can probably work week ends for the ice co in the summer
If I'm not happy here I can go back to ice co in Apr or May

cons
25 miles from home
pays $9.50 per hour to start or $380.00 per week , after taxes and gas ball park $275.00 , I currently get 250.00 per week UI after taxes
Have to start thru temp service in case I do not work out (3 months) hope pay will go up after that

Not sure what to think but I'm getting bored as hell just working around the house so I guess I'll see what happens . I think I'm happy over all but haven't started yet . :dunno:

Glad to hear you found a job Joey. A little gas miser car might be in order for that longer commute now.

I just started my new job right before the New Years for Interstate.
Already have 2 RFQ's lined up. Now I just need to turn them into PO's.

Congrats...sounds like you're doing a good job.  Gotta believe that somewhere along the line you will be rewarded.  I have nothing but respect for those who are willing to work at what they can to survive.

As far as working too many hours to enjoy your car...how many guys have a nice e body to not drive.  My husband pointed that out to me when I was complaining about the flaws in my car.  We had just had all the body done and new paint and it's pretty nice but it's not perfect.  The front seats are toast and have wal mart seat covers, there's a piece broken out of the end of the grill, carpets faded, etc.

He said "do you know how many guys would cut their left nut off to have that car?"

Hang in there
