Internet Marketing - Anybody have some advice?
« on: February 04, 2011 - 08:28:00 AM »
Now that I have moved back to south Florida, I am looking to expand my stripe business. I am developing a lot of stuff for the new Camaro and also Mustangs in addition to my Mopar related stuff.  I will still have challengergary.com but  I am going to be putting another website that is a little more brand X friendly. I need some advice on how to get the word out about my new site & new products and how to drive customers to my site.  Also, for local sales of signs and graphics, is it worth it to spend the money on a Yellow Pages ad nowadays?

Of course, I will still be doing the eBay thing for this product but really want it to be more direct sales (without spending all that $ every month with FeeBay).

I'm sure you have already thought of all the forums? What worked fantastic for me here in Canada was KIJIJI Try the major cities, eg . Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal etc...? Put a link to your site to put peoples minds at rest?

What about craigslist?

Definitely on the forums...
On your eBay listings, be sure and add your website.
In addition, try sites like the musclecarplace.com.
I agree that CL is a good place as well, point back at your website.

Thanks - hadn't listed on Racing Junk before - good idea.  Hope to see some responses :)

What about search engines?  Anybody know the secrets to getting google and bing to list me?

There are a few "hackers" for lack of a better word that offer sales packets to design your web page to top Google's search list...otherwise, you can pay Google, and your site will appear to the right of the search results.

I'e found "google analitics" to be helpful for doing updates on my site, and changes are in the works!

What about a free HTML editor software?  Anybody have any recommendations?  I really want to build the site before I launch it...
