AZDAN, what did it cost to get it dipped?  Also, I know exactly where the redi-strip your talking about is, I had my motor rebuilt at a shop across the street from them.

It was around $1000 a couple of years ago, to do the body, fenders, doors, hood.rear valance. It removed all the old paint, rust and bondo. They had it for about two weeks from the drop off time to pick up time. You will need to treat it the day you get to stop flash rust. I think it was phosphorus(?) that I used and then coated it with etch primer. It worked for me, others maybe able to suggest other ways/products to cover the bare metal. I'm not a body or paint guy, this my first time with a project like this.

The shop across the street is or was run by a guy that was involved with a Super Stock Barracuda back in the day. His wife drove it. I think he did a small block for the engine challenge that one of the magazines do every year.

You are correct, his name is Dennis Maurer and he built my 340 stroker motor, he is a good guy.  Keep up the good work!

Looks like a fun project!   I'm about to put my front frame connector in too.  I see you didn't lower it. Does your radiator still fit?  I've had difficulty finding one that will work with my set-up.  Can't seem to find a crossflow with the outlet towards the middle.  They all exit at a corner.   :dunno:    Figured I'd ask.   Robert.

I did use the spacers to lower it that came with it from XV. I do not have a radiator for it at this time. Hopefully i will not have a promblem, will just need to measure for one to fit.

I started to attach a a rear patch panel. I decided to fill in the marker lights, I thought about recessing them like the green Cuda  with the gills. For  now I'm going with the smoothed/shaved  look.
