Kickdown Adjustment
« on: February 16, 2011 - 05:35:00 AM »
Hey guys.....

I need some help!  Last fall I install a Lokar Throttle and Kickdown cable system on my 71 Chally 440magnum 727 trans.  I know that in my current state of adjustment, I have NO kickdown when I press the throttle down to the floor.  Can you guys explain to me how to properly adjust the kickdown system.  I have read here and there that at WOT, the lever on the trans should be pointed to the rear of the car all the way back.  Is this correct?

Please help...also I am new at this kickdown stuff so please be detailed and patient with me. :clueless:

Does anyone have any pics...especially if you are running the lokar system?

Thanks
