oil pressure sending unit
« on: February 27, 2011 - 02:47:14 PM »
I've been looking at after market electrical oil pressure gauges and it seems that most don't come with a sending unit. Will they work with my stock sending unit or do I need an after market sender too.

Almost every electrical gauge that Autometer sells comes with it's own sending unit. What brand are you looking at?

Chrysler sending units use a resistance sweep of 80 ohms=0 oil pressure to 10  ohms= full oil pressure (gauge is at upper level).
I guess you can find a manufacturer that sells one that needs that resistance.
