How cool is this?

I have been working at this 87 year old couples house (installing windows and doors) and the old guy ends up being an engineer, and this is what I found in the garage... mig welders, milling machines, grinders, ban saw, laythe...
I put the feelers in to see if he will part with it. I have no idea how to use this stuff but I figure if I get get it at a good price...

What's this stuff worth?

That's very cool!  There's definitely some $$ wrapped up into those machines, but as for how much exactly, I really don't know.  What brand is that M.I.G. welder?

Hummm hard to say? Is it 600V 3 phase powered? If so you will need a phase converter and transformer about 4K ..... If it's been converted to 220V household power the machines will be gutless. The surface grinder you most likely will never use. the mill...I don't recognise the make? I'd say for all of it 3-5 K at the most? You would need to check if they are worn out or not? If they are worn you won't be able to hold very good tolerances? With the mill take off the table clamps and see if you can wiggle it back and forth with the lathe look at the ways ( sp?) and see if they are ground smooth still or scored up? basically see how much slop stuff has that whines or cranks? The other thing to consider is what make and how old is it....can you still get parts if you need them? With all the tool shops gone to China this stuff can be had cheap at auctions. I have all that stuff and more . I bought all my stuff at the shop I worked at for 17 years so I knew what machines were good and which ones to run from! Even rebuilt a few before the place closed! I was a mold maker for 25 years before it all went offshore....

I agree, auction prices would be pretty decent on these items. 

I see between 1K and 2K depending on how many old guys are at the auction these would be at.

That would include the tool box's and compressor.

Those prices would be Colorado prices.  As with auctions, when you move around the country different items bring different money.

They are 3 phase and he has the converter. I'm just tire kicking for now, thought I would get some opinions.
