If your on a budget, modifiying oem always costs me more than expected. That said, lots of the imports have used hydraulic clutch systems for years.
The main problem with them is eventually the master/slave cylinder seals leak, and then you loose all your pedal. Many imports use a cable for RH drive, and a hydraulic for LH drive. Talk to the guys in Australia, they love the fact that the cables never fail, whereas here in the US its continually checking for that eventual hydraulic leak.
