Carl glad you are  OK, watching the news reports it looks bad, latest report 75 confirmed dead, over 200 missing. Australia has sent several rescue teams over to help your exhausted crews.   :nzflag:   :aussie:
The worst thing now I heard is that the scum of the earth, LOOTERS are taking advantage, string them up.   :villagers:

Yup, locally only 6 arrests so far which is a good  #, always going to be scum taking advantage of a nation down on it's knees, sad really, hang 'em high I say. Police have better things to be doing that catching those clowns. Yup, Aussie, USA, Canada, Japan, many nations pitching in, so nice to see aye and of course, you, our brothers across the ditch, we give each other grief in a joking spirit and are enemies on the sports field but in times of need, the ANZAC spirit will never die.

I have heard also that we are sending Police from Victoria to help with sorting out problems freeing up the NZ Police to get stuck into more important things. Yes the ANZAC spirit will never die, we throw insults at each other in a humorous way but when the chips are down we are there for each other.   :2thumbs:

Hang in there Carl and others there. You're not thru the woods yet. Aftershocks may still occur.
Stay safe Bud.

Luckily we don't feel them where I am, far away, but they are still getting HEAPS of aftershocks. Just saw on the news they've had 22 aftershocks alone since midnight local time (in the last 12+ hours) and one of those was at 4.4 on the richter scale, scary stuff. It's not only nerve racking for everyone in that area but it's also making the recovery and rescue mission very very difficult. They can't send teams into a lot of the buildings as many of them are 50/50 and could collapse at any second. A horrible situation no city or country would want to be in. :-X

It seems to be getting worse with every news update, 98 confirmed dead, 268 missing. Saw what had happened at the town where the earthquake started, rocks the size of cars crashing through houses, looks like a big bowling alley but the rocks are using houses as skittles.    :22yikes:
Keep safe all in NZ.    :angelwings:
