Why did i not buy one of these YEARS ago?
« on: March 19, 2012 - 01:39:44 AM »
this wideband gauge has been awesome in setting up this new-to-me v8 carb system. v8's and 4bbl carbs are both new to me and has been kicking my butt.

bought this wideband 02 gauge and hooked it all up last night within a few hours of tuning today ive gotten my afr's steady at low 14's at all rpms in cruise, low 13's when i stick my foot into it, and down in the mid-high 12's toward redline

only thing i have not been able to fix is my off idle stumble because i don't have any accel pump cams that are aggressive enough.

been tuning with a demon 625 vac secondary. i cant wait to get this thing on a dyno :)

here is a quick video from last night on the rough tune from before the gauge.

sorry for the odd looking "tall' screen instead of wide screen. my iphone never went to landscape before i started recording.

Sounds like you're on the trail, but don't forget that Holley makes bigger orifice squirters, too. You may want to try one before you swap out the cams.  :2cents:

im starting to think its a idle to main curcuit transition, i havent tweaked anything and im not really sure how to fix this issue. happens when pulling out of first and when making small increased throttle adjustments in cruise...

Do you run 1 or 2 sensors mounted in the exhaust pipe(s)? If just one sensor, do you check the left side then hook up to the right side? Or a switch where you can select Left or Right side?

I have one of those on my 91 Acura Nsx that I supercharged.
Can't live without it.
I have to add one to my 72 Kuda with 383 and headers.
Post some pics where you put the sensor into your exhaust.
Thanks
