Manual vs auto accelerator pedal

Are the accelerator pedals different from manual and automatic trans?
I am install the new hump for the manual trans and my accelerator pedal seems real close.

I agree...it's close. But I don't think they are different.  :2cents:

I think they are the same too, but after you get it in place just mark it and with a little heat hammer & dolly it for a little more clearance..

You don't have to go that much.....

I put sound deadener under my carpet...made it that much worse. I'll have to dent it too, now.

What about bending the rod the pedal attaches to? Or slotting some holes? Or would it be to close to the brake pedal? :dunno:

I have been through this before. I heated and bent the gas pedal rod over, then heated & bent it again closer to the pedal to make the pedal back to the original angle. This put the pedal higher, so I added a piece of round rod to lower it.  :lol: Turned out nice, but it was more work. I think manual cars had a different piece. I'll probably do the same this time as I did before.  :banghead:

Both the manual and the auto trans used the same accelerator pedal.  There is only one part number for both transmissions.  Things just get close when they put three pedals under the dash.
