How to measure Torsion bar diameter
« on: March 09, 2011 - 05:37:28 PM »
I am assuming a pair of calipers to measure the tube diameter will give me my torsion bar size? ie...when refering to a ".098" torsion bar. Thanks in advance for answering....what a great site.

I just tightened a crescent wrench on my front sway bar, then slid it off and measured it at 7/8" (.88) on a ruler.

Did the same with my torsion bar at about .96", give or take a few hundreths! Rulers are only so precise.
