Radiator question
« on: March 15, 2011 - 06:38:01 PM »
I am looking at this radiator Spectra brand at Rockauto http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=271917 the price is right, but I don`t see any holes for where a shroud would bolt to and I would like to use a shroud.Does anyone know if a shroud will bolt up to this radiator?

Since I couldn`t save my old radiator I wanted to get another radiator to match the shroud I have, but I can`t find a new radiator that will fit a 19"shroud.I am going to have to do one or the other, either get a new shroud/radiator or if anyone knows where I can find the radiator to match my shroud I will do that.

What is confusing me about my old radiator is that on Rosevilles Mopar Radiator Guide & Specifications page my radiator is listed  for an A body  part # 3692926 1974 A 19" 318. Did this radiator also come in E bodies as well in 74?

It does not appear a 19" was used in 74....the 22" radiators use an add on bracket for the shroud. Is it possible that the 19" has removable brackets?

Yep that is the list I found as well. I have a feeling it was also used on E bodies but have no real proof. If this radiator wasn`t toast it would have bolted right in to my car. As far as my shroud /radiator the shroud bolted right up too the rad no brackets used.I bought it online off a parts car I assumed it was original to the car but who knows maybe it was replaced early on in it`s life. Here is a photo of the car it came out of. It`s been in there a while!
I may just end up getting that Spectra one from Rockauto even if it has no holes for a shroud I need a radiator this is starting to hold up my project.
