Dropping in to say hi!!!
« on: March 26, 2011 - 10:44:57 AM »
I haven't been on in a while so I thought I would drop in to tell my friends here on C-C hi! I been busy moving my business (auto shop) to a new location. Its a great thing for me and my family because it is 3 times the size of my previous shop and I got a smoking lease on it because the owner was tired of paying taxes on it as it sat empty. Its also in a great location to boot. I've had to pour a ton of money into it to make it nice again. That being said the Cuda project has been put on hold for a while as the funds for it went into the building. The good news is that I have all the space I need to do her up right once business picks back up! The new shop under went an amazing transformation in just 2 month. Below are pictures of the Cuda coming out of the previous shop on its journey to the new place. Also is a picture of the new shop as I was getting underway to rehabing it. I will post more picks of the Cuda in its new home and the picks of the shop after I got done with it. I think you guys will be blow away!!! :2thumbs:

Thanks guys! Before the economy went south I specialized in late model performance work but now I have migrated into general auto repair and service focused on domestic and Asian cars.  The new shop is in the South End district of uptown Charlotte NC. Again I'll post pictures of the shop now that I have renovated it. Big difference!

:2thumbs: Looks like a nice size building for your type of work and a refurbish will say a lot too as far as street appeal. Also looks like some good storage space on that second level or even the possibility of a rental apartment if there would be an outside entrance.?  Good luck.

The exterior is completely done as of now except for some landscaping. I also took down the front steel awning and added a new fabric one and blasted the side enterance awning and refinished it. Hopefully the weather will be nice tommorrow so I can get some good pics. The upstairs is completely seperate from the down stairs. The door on the side is the enterance for the upstairs. What makes this such a great deal for me is that I am in control of the entire building and can sub-lease out the 2nd floor. Even better is that it is already 90% renovated and should off set my lease! I also have 1 1/2 acres of yard that I can lease out space as well. I'm very excited about this deal and if I work it out right I sould be able to save enough to buy my own shop or possibly this place. I'll keep my fingers crossed! :clapping:
