The 49 is identical to mine....1600 for it doesn't seem like a bad price at all

Yeah, that does look like a good donor truck.
Seems like an honest fella that has it also.

in all reality the one for 1600 is pretty much just as good of a starting point as mine. I mean the wood on mine is in a lot better condition but its still not good enough to be re-used. Every piece of wood on mine will have to be replaced. The only advantage to mine might be that i have better pieces of wood to make my patterns. Id like to maybe try to make a door for it this summer just to see if my wood working skills are good enough. Like my dad said "the good thing about wood is if you screw up on a piece, throw it away and start again.

I have all the woodie specific parts for it. All the inner door assemblies, latches and handles and what not, and the aluminum pieces that run the length of the roof to hide the vinyl top line.

Also the original motor has not run in 40 years. Would it be worth the extra money that it would cost to have it rebuilt vs buying one that is already in good running order? As im sure its not easy to find parts for this motor

my plans are to do some of the inexpensive stuff this summer since im in college and only making minimum wage. Such as paint the chassis, and do some bodywork since i have all the tools to do that. Sand blast small pieces in my blasting cabinet and paint them. Possible mock up the whole front of the car if i can get that far.

Ill start a restoration thread whenever i get started on it as well as a thread on the upgrades im doing to the challenger

Yeah, sweet find! You found it in Arkansas? There are all kinds of old cars hidden in the brush out there.

I'll be watching for the resto thread too!

Found it about ten miles from my dads shop in Arkansas out in the woods.   This was a few years back.  Just got around to posting about it

ill probably dig all the pieces out this weekend and take lots of pics. I need to move it inside the paint booth (which can be locked) instead of just inside the paint booth building (which you can walk right into) Too many people know where it is, its been in storage for 3 or 4 years and i have had people that i dont even know asking me if i still have it. I may just start a resto thread sometime next week when i have detailed pics of everything i have since a couple of people have showed such interest in it.
