Convertile Help in CA
« on: March 23, 2011 - 03:56:48 PM »
Howdy Folks,

Once again I call out to the wealth of fellow board members that might be able to help me a bit. Thanks to Shelbydogg, way out in St. Louis, I've been able to get many of the measurements I need to fabricate the parts unsalvageable from my severely rusted convertible donor. Unfortunately, there are a few parts I need to see in person to make templates from so I can finish them up for fabrication. I am missing sooooo much stuff, including my top frame and rear trim that it has been difficult to get things into a state where I am ready to commit to welding them together.

The help? I was wondering if there was anyone near Central or "Northern" Southern California (Venture, Santa Barbara and North) or "Southern" Northern California that might have a 70-71 convertible with an exposed inner structure at the moment that wouldn't mind letting me drop by with my ruler, camera and cardboard so I can get this right. I would be happy to take the person out to lunch or buy them a drink, pert near anything in order to get this project closer to "done".

PM me or reply here and let me know. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Geoff

Geoff,

Have you tried any Mopar car clubs for leads?
Somebody in a club has got to know someone with a vert' to let you see in person.

Thanks guys! Traveling this week without internet save my trusty phone. I will try both suggestions when I get back to civilization!
