Great story & beautiful car, although you may want to consider not washing it down with water that could induce rust.

Morgan Hill is an ultra dry humidity. Very hot and arrid. Garlic country.

Cars can sit outside for a 100 years there without rusting badly.
As long as he doesn't flood it everyday with water and does it sparingly in a wide mist spray, it won't rust where he lives. Mike you'll be fine.

Very hot and arid in the summer anyways. Winter isn't the wettest, but I still find that the mist in the morning is enough to corrode and pit the aluminum wheels. I will be wet sanding them again this summer to bring them back to a brilliant shine. I don't have the luxury of keeping the car in the garage either :(

Thank you for clearing that up Mike, I was starting to worry that I may have been substantially increasing the likelihood of rust.
