Need suggestions/info on removing lots of sheet metal from rear end

I need to replace most of the rear sheet metal on my car just like Sean did on a recent post. I was wondering what the best procedure is for this? Mike (topcat) said to put 8 jack stands under the car. I would assume this would be along the frame structure to support the middle of the car from "sinking" when the support (rear sheet metal) is removed. Thanks for the help yall.

My car was sitting on it's wheels while replacing quarters, trunk floor, roof skin. I have it on 10 stands replacing the floor. Probably overkill, but there is not much support with no floorboard.

the more support, the better, just make sure you're working on level floor, weld in few  braces to make it even more rigid

My sheet metal was taken off while the car was on jackstands.  That and an air chisel, saws-all, tin shears, spotweld cutter, and lots of blood, sweat and tears is all it took!
