New to the Challenger-need color info-Black w/red interior
« on: April 18, 2011 - 11:17:58 PM »
Hi everyone, my dad and I found a 70 RT that a friend of mine's wife had stored in a garage for 15+years.  VIN shows a 383 but she said it blew so they threw in a 318 4sp.  Overall its in solid shape, a few spots on the floor pans but by no means the worst I have taken on before.  My question is: decoding the build sheet (yes it was still on the rear seat) and the fender plate, it was Black with a red stripe and red interior.  Someone has changed the interior to black but after pulling it all out, I could see where they painted the plastic black.  Is that a potentially rare combination?  Black with red interior?  It also said it was originally an automatic 383 car.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks again.

I can't say it is rare, but definitely not one of the usual.

A black car with red interior is awesome!!   Buy it!!

What's the fender tag readout?

PIcs??
