Engine wire harness connectors
« on: April 28, 2011 - 03:29:16 PM »
I want to replace these two connectors and some wires on my engine wire harness. I’m not ready to buy a full engine wire harness yet. They are the eight wire black and white connectors in the picture below.  It seems like everyone has the white connector but I can for the life of me find the black female connector.  Some vendors are telling me that the engine wire harness is one piece and should not have a connector in the middle of the harness like mine does.  Is that correct and does anyone know were I can get the black connector.  I’ve checked with YO, Stevens Performance.

Thanks

First I don't know where to get a new black connector.

I DO recall seeing a 75 Roadrunner 318 (that's the one that looks like a Cordolba) with the black connectors, which I noticed because my 73 Challenger had  white.  I had always thought the black connectors were a mid 70s thing and the white was the the original look for an ebody.  But that is just what I thought.  If you want the black, maybe look for a junk 75 Cordolba or Roadrunner because that's what I saw the black connector on.  At least one of them had it anyway.

that plug was factory in the last 2 years , it made engine install & hook up much faster on the assembly line
