1970 Dodge Challenger RT Pro ET Car (drag race only),

"Geoff Whyte" 346 inch “R3” Small Block, 13.2-1 compression, ported and polished W2 heads runs on 112 race fuel.

* Rotisserie restoration with (7) coats of clear on FC7 Plum Crazy Purple paint, under carriage done in POR-15. Could be made street legal by hooking up the existing turn signals.

Good Year, TTI, Flow Master, Wilwood, Painless wiring, TCI, Barry Grant, Mark Williams, Mopar Performance, etc. - all the best parts. Reverse valve body 904 "Shaw Race Transmission". Tubbed with full interior.

The car is mint new condition with only a few test runs, drives great, hooks hard, goes straight, gets lots of attention. These cars are becoming hard to find in this condition, all steel with a fiberglass hood.

Too much to list, see website for all the details on building this car and its 24' trailer at: http://projectmopar.tripod.com/index.htm

The cost to build this car including the equipped 24’ Pace Shadow enclosed trailer was over $60K. All that is needed is fill the two race fuel jugs and go play. Doctors say its time to sell the toys; big items first then down hill from there (wife wouldn't have a clue on selling my toys).

FOR SALE $40,000.00. - TRADES NOT ACCEPTED -

Maybe he couldn't find a 70 grille at the time the car was done.  It is an A66 340 car.  I hate to see it when anyone has to write this.

This question comes up a lot when folks see it for the first time. Yes it has a 71 grill and bezels changed in 1978 when NHRA changed the rules for F/SA saying 1970 Challengers could use the larger 1971 ThermoQuad carb over the original (good for 8 horsepower ++), to use this carb. all that was needed was change the grill and bezels to be legal. With a few other minor changes in 1989 the car was put into G/SA (now at the top of the class - weight wise not in the middle as in F/SA). When we did a complete restoration I still liked the '71 grill and decided to let it stay.

"usraptr" = United States raptor - bird of prey = United States Bald Eagle.  FYI, somebody else thought of it first so I had to drop the "O" in raptor.

Nice car, but gonna take some ads in many sites to get nibbles for 40k  Just my opinion tho.  The market is down and street racers really don't bring the asking price value.  Good luck
