Please share any photos of a 2" leaf spring lift....

Your car looks real good.  What spring and tire set up are you using?

Like Brad said, you may not like the way it drives after you put those springs on. I had air shocks on my car and just jacking it up an inch made it drive "funny".   For a Challenger, I usually go for the body line being horizontal to the ground. I don't like the squatting butt look and don't like the whole tire sidewall showing. Here is a pic of mine with the body line where I like it. The pace car next to me had the factory soft springs.



If you buy those +2" springs, how do plan on lowering them if you don't like them?

Same as on my convertible. 68-70 b-body rear end, made my own 1" offset front hangers, Dr. Diff rear 1" offset hangers. 295/50/15 BFG Radial T/A in a 10" wheel with 5-1/2" backspacing.  I have lots of tools and stuff for the Power Tour in the trunk. Had NEW Mopar Performance XHD new leaf springs from Mancini under it and it sagged worse than my old XHD springs. The Mexican steel looked like it was bending backwards at the front spring eye.  I used and old set of springs and doubled up the second longest spring and that put it where I liked it.   

Funny thing is that I took all of the cheap Mexican steel XHD lower springs, changed the top spring with an original, and they sit just right on my convertible.

Here is one with the stock saggy springs. See how the body line sags as it goes to the rear?






And one with the extra leaf. I always go for a horizontal body line. Only about 1" higher but you can see the nicer stance.

 





I think it will all depend on how much stuff you have in your trunk, but you don't want it sitting too high or you'll hate the way it drives.

Rob, my 73 sits exactly like yours. I also have 295 BFG ,I want to pull them in a little closer. Where the heck can I findan old B body rear? Im in Sacramento.

I put a want ad out on Craigslist and got a response the same day. The guy had put a Dana in his Satellite and sold me his open 3:23 geared 8-3/4 chunk, axles and housing for $50.   

You can move the springs in with Dr Diff's kit without changing the rear end but you have to cut off the spring perches then weld them back on 1" inward. You would also have to get a different (deeper than 5.5" backspace) to move the tire in.

With a B-body rear, I just order the 10"x15" Rallyes from Summit and they go right on.

...I just have to interject.....I drove my car with the stock saggy springs and then I drove mine after I added the add-a-leaf.....and I have to say I LOVE the way it drives after the change.

Now, maybe I dont know any better and with less lift but no sag it is even better....but I actually like the way it drives for the most part..... relatively low profile tires in front (195/65/15 on 7" rims) may play into it......

In the corners mine pushed like a dump truck (BAD!) . Now that's not all the rear springs fault, but I'm sure it doesn't help. Big block, stock front sway bar , jobber shocks, unknown front end settings, horrible brakes
 ( faded bad! )ETC.....  Jacking up the back does mess with the rear roll centers etc..

Does have that cool 70's look though.  Just a different style is all.

Me? It pissed me off that our family cruiser ( 05 Suburban) out handled and out braked the Challenger, so that's why I went the route I did.

Oh, dont get me wrong...I am sure it would handle better with the back end down...plus, lower the whole car and then go with super low profile tires, etc.   My wife's hyundai Sonata handles like its on freaking rails.....but its not a 70s mopar!   

But I guess I am still hooked on the image in my mind of the jacked up 70s musclecar.....LOL

I have front and rear sway bars on my car. I also have a big block and like to go around turns fast. Raising it makes it suck.  If you like the  jacked up 70s drag race look, go for it. You just won't handle as well

I've been eyeballing the same springs on Epay. Love the raked, rear a little  high look. I'm in the process of cutting a Dana down to B body size and plan to go with a 295 /50 /15

Rear high may make me push a little going into the corners, but I'll have plenty of HP to catch up
and pass in the strait aways  Let us know if you pull the trigger on them

 A couple of thoughts after reading everyones comments:

 With the rear down and front end high like the stock setup, would there be more lift under the car at higher speeds, say 70 MPH plus. That might make the steering vauge or loose. 

 Conversly, how much positive caster is lost with each inch of lift in the rear along with weight transfer. It may quicken the handling but make it squirrly at higher speeds.

 Possibly other steering geometry changes and suspension settings could find a balence in either case.

I just pulled the trigger on the 2" over hight springs on Ebay. I'll let ya know how they look and post a pic or 2 when they get here. 1" offset hangers from Dr. Diff are on the way too.

Nothing looks badder than a Jacked up challenger , I almost bought one at the swap meet but my wife beat me over the head with a frying pan! The way the tires sat perfect in the wheel wells and the ass of the car sat high.,, it looked so darm GOOD !!  :wow:I can only imagine how one would look with those mods.
