    How to (properly) repair cracks in headlight panel?

    I've got a few cracks in the headlight panel that need fixed. It's a 73; don't know if the 70 panels are different material. Whoever restored the car before tried to fix the cracks by duct taping it on the back and then smearing some kinds of pasty material all over it.....

    I am not sure what is best but I would recommend fiberglass filler  :2cents:

    I used Kleen Strip fiberglass paint remover see what was going on. The panel was in nice shape, but by stripping, there were some hairline stress cracks in it. I cut a V into them and used U-Pol SMC fiber reinforced white bonding filler. The stuff worked great.
