New Seats
« on: June 01, 2011 - 10:05:14 AM »
My new seats are finally installed. They're Corbeau Sport Seats in white leather and I ordered additional white leather for the Riggs Bros. to make a matching cover for the rear seat.  Also had Dynamat installed on the floor and new carpet installed while the seats were out.

How is the seat height compared to the original factory?

I would estimate that I sit about 3/4" higher in the new seats.

I would think that should be fine for most people...you used their brackets for mounting?

I would guess they have to be a lot more comfortable than the factory originals.

Did the dynamat make a big difference in road noise?  I am fixing to do floor pans and I was giving serious consideration to laying it in.  Remember how much you used for the floors?

Sorry for all the questions but you are one step ahead of me and I like to learn from someone that has done it.

What's so uncomfortable about the original seats? I love mine. The only car I've been in that was better was the bench seat in my Impala!

Dynamat works as far as noise insulation goes. I only have it on my floor (not doors, roof like others) but the difference between just that & none at all is quite impressive. I have no problem recommending it.
