I did mine about a year ago.  That is a long time ago.  I tried it both ways and ended up so that it more centers in the opening in the K frame and more squarely fits the bushings.  Which way?  I'll have to look tomorrow.  PK

Wow.  I'll just make sure it looks right when the suspension is under load and let you know.  I will say that in the factory service manual it looks like it angles down, but the diagram is so small and only shows part of the sway bar.

You have to be cautious when using the factory service manual.  I went by an illustration in my manual when reassembling the suspension and front disc calipers.  As per the manual I installed the calipers on the trailing side of the wheel only to find that when I went to hook up my brake hoses they would not work.  I found a photo I had taken prior to dis-assembly and it clearly showed they were on the front side.  So, I had to change my spindles side to side. Not the first or last error I've seen in the manuals.  PK

MJK, the pictures in my books would appear to agree with the manual.  I looked at both and came to that conclusion.  When installed, the ends of the bar should be as close to parallel to the ground as possible so that it gives equal spring rates which ever way it moves.
