74 Cuda - Bumper Mounting
« on: May 31, 2011 - 06:31:46 PM »
I am working on installing early (70) style bumperetts and mounting brackets on my 74 cuda.  I am looking to pull the bumpers into the body as much as possible.

I see that the bumpers have a large reinforcment structure inside the actual bumper, and the mounts are attached to same.

Can I remove the reinforcment structure in order to move the bumpers in further.  Do the 70's have the reenforcement structure?

Thanks,

Jason

Ya take that thing outta' there.  You might need to open up the holes on the brackets. I just use the inner ones and fill the holes with bumper bolts.  The rear brackets need to be cut down to get really close.
