remote oil filter ?
« on: October 01, 2011 - 08:55:27 PM »
Ok I love 99% of the features on my car, but the oil filter location is wacked! Sure is a messy ordeal changing oil filters!  :pullinghair:   Anyone ever relocate it?  Got any pictures?

The other dumb design is the steering column coupler....but I'm gonna live with that for now!

I used one on my 67 LeMans.  350 BB and 400 BB and it worked great.
Never had a problem with it.

I like the new oil gutter mount under the filter on the newer dodge trucks directs the drips down a chute, on my other rigs i just pile a handful of rags.

I've got a remote mount on my Bronco. Sure makes it nice to not even have to get under the truck and have oil drip all over you. Never had any problems with it at all.

I just cut a plastic milk bottle into a v & slide it in under the filter before I unscrew it , no big deal .
