Rear Soft Break Line Needed

    Rear Soft Break Line Needed

    Morning All-
    I’m replacing the brake lines on my ’70 Barracuda.  Already have the hard break lines from Classic Industries.  The long hard break line that goes all the way to the back of the car is mounted into a bracket and connects to a soft break line.  This soft break line goes the distribution block that’s mounted to the rear axle. 

    Where can I purchase the soft break line?
    Searching through the suspension threads I didn’t find any previously posted requests.  I did find a picture of Farmboy70’s Challenger that shows the soft break line.  Thank you for letting me barrow your pic w/o asking.  :cheers:

    With so many full restorations on this site, I’m assuming that someone has located the soft break line.

    Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

    I just bought one of those for our Challenger about two weeks ago from rock auto. Was like $25 if I remember correctly, much cheaper than any place else I could find it. Worked perfectly.

    Raybestos & Wagner make the part , it is available from any auto parts supplier , if Rock Auto has the best price go with them

    Unless your doing a #'s matching resto ..? I went with the russell stainles braided kit. It was pretty cheap? I think like $30 or so for the 3 lines.

    I bought one for the Charger from Auto Zone. When I get the Cuda to that point I'll be getting it from Auto Zone as well.

    Hi All-
    First- Thank you very much for all of your replies!  :ylsuper:
    It’s still amazing to me the amount of knowledgeable people here.  Ask the most obscure question, and within minutes the answer is there.   I’ve put together several Cudas over the years and on the research aspect; that’s what I do at work.  So, again, thank you for sharing your knowledge.  :worshippy

    I would have responded sooner, but, been rather busy at work with an Air Force Unit Compliance Inspection (UCI) (Our military friends will understand)

    I ordered the hose from Auto Rock, my first order with them; $13 dollars + $5 shipping; while at work. :bigsmile:

    06Daytona; I didn’t have the extra time the time to go to O’Reillys, Auto Zone, or Advance Auto.

    Brads70; I looked at Russell’s website, but didn’t come across the hose, let alone the hard lines that go across the rear axle.  I guess that’s okay, I already have the hard lines from Classic Industries.

    If the weather cooperates, I’ll install this weekend.  I’ll be at it by 8AM; Too hot here in OKC – 100+ every day.

    More questions and humbling requests for answers to come… :cheers:
