time for a dash

so its time for the dash,, now here i am looking all over for it.  So I hear some not so good things about U.R. and run across an egag for Carolina superdash. but cant seem to find a website of contact info for them.  Would anyone have this info? What are your opinions on Just Dashes?  Dashes4u?   any and all info is helpful.

There's a big post on Carolina Superdash over on Moparts.  Looking at the pictures that have been posted, the Carolina pads are from UR.  They look identical.  All the extra foam that was present on my UR pad when I got it back is on the Carolina pad. 

The UR pads don't fit the greatist around the left and right lower dash trim.  It takes a little work to get them to fit and even then it isn't perfect.  I'm going to have to redrill one of the VIN plate holes since the plate doesn't line up with the recessed area of the pad using the original holes.  I also had to redrill two of the four speaker grill holes.

I've heard bad things about all the dashes available.  Just Dashes doesn't strip the dash down to a bare metal core.  They just sand and fill the cracks in the original foam before vacuum forming new vinyl over it.  Sometimes you can see waves in the vinyl where the cracked foam used to be.  It probably depends on how bad your pad was to begin with.

If you decide to go with Ultimate Rides, don't deal dirrectly with them.  Go through Dave at Roseville.  He is a sponcer of this site and is great to work with.  I think it is also a good idea to send your original pad in and have it redone and sent back to you.  You will have less fitment issues if you do it that way.  The core I'm using isn't my original one...that's why I'm having to redrill some holes.
