Removing a leaf
« on: August 02, 2015 - 10:44:30 PM »
My cuda had some pretty serious springs on it when I bought it. Not only does it make the car sit super high, but it rides like a truck. I'd like to remove a leaf to get the ass end down a little, but I have no idea which leaf I should remove. Suggestions?

Looking at the edges, No 2 and 4 from the bottom seems to be added leafs, but I'm not 100% sure those are the ones to remove...

Holy cow!

Yes, I'd look through the pack and see if there are any close to equal terminations and eliminate those first.

FWIW, the stock 318 spring packs have 4 leafs. The XHD units have 5 with an extra half leaf. SS springs may have 5-6 long leaves with  1-2 extra half leafs depending on application. Yours look like a home built collection of misc leaves to simulate a SS pack. You also seem to  be missing a lot of straps that hold the leaves in alignment. I'd say someone was tuning it for drag racing at some point in its life.
