1970 Gran Coupe Convertible I sold many years ago?
« on: July 04, 2011 - 01:19:17 PM »
About 15 years ago I sold a 1970 Barracuda Gran Coupe convertible to a person named Paul. I recall he was from Mass. area. Just would like to know if anyone has any information on it or might know this person that bought it from me. Car needed a lot of metal work. Original green car with a white power top, tan interior. 318 engine, slapstick automatic with console. Thanks John.

John,

Did you retain the vin number?
That will be the easiest first step to finding your old car.

Yes the last part of the vin should be on both. Assuming it's a small block check the passenger side just above oil pan and passenger side on transmission also.

John A,

Did the car have a MI title when you sold it?

M31   P37   R35   V5F   Y05   EN1
V3W   C16   C55   C62   G33   M25
EF8   PRT5    000     xxx    xxxxxx
E44    D31    BP27    G0B   xxx012

There was a car for sale in 2007 in RI that matches your description.

here is what the flat milled area looks like on th engine block.
