« on: June 11, 2011 - 12:59:13 AM »
I went from this...

to this...in a manner of hours, (in between periods of the hockey game)

All to get to  (or at least a cleaned up version) of this. :ylsuper:

Looked pretty clean in the first place.

Are you going to match your valve covers to your intake?

Thanks,

Actually, I am going to match the intake to the rest of the engine! :grinyes:

Are you  changing from a single plane intake manifold to a dual plane?...if so that is an Excellent swap for street/strip use.

Looks good, but check your hood clearance before you slam your hood down for the first time. The Performer RPM is a pretty tall intake. Other than that, its an excellent street/strip intake.

Well I am finally done. :o :icon16:   well almost.

This took alot longer than I thought.

I had a hell of a time buttoning up the fuel system. I could not get two seperate chrome carb feed lines to seal up, so I built my own this weekend. Sealed up great!!!  :swaying:

Fired it up for the first time tonight, she fired right up. Did not let it run long enough to check for leaks, but, I am hoping for the best.

Tomorrow night I am going to set the timing and tune the carb...with any luck I will get to take it for a spin.

I am really anxious to see how the car works with the dual plane vs. the old single plane.   :naughty: :burnout:

Here are some pics of the finished product.
