    What are these bolts for again?

    For the life of me I can't remember what the two circled bolts are for?  In all my old pictures I have these 2 bolts going through the firewall with nothing connected to them.  I hope I'm not missing something?

    My 73 has those as well.  My guess is that they are for a manual washer pump.(foot pump)  My car has electric washers.

    These bolts are up higher...accually on the firewall.  The dimmer switch is mounted on the floorpan.  I'm almost positive it's for a manual foot pump.

    If that pic is from inside the car,  I agree, manual washe pump.  My 74 had a manal washer pump, let me check tonight and I will see where it was mounted.

    Possibly the gas pedal mounting bolts that should have studs??

    Foot pump washer was over by the dimmer switch on the left of the steering on the floor. My 70 AAR had a foot pump I do not know about the 71s the 72 on were electric pumps. It looks like the gas pedal bolts the pedal is mounted to the firewall about there.

    Gas pedal mounts to the right of the picture...not shown. I'll have to look at both my Challengers.

    They are for a manual windshield washer foot pump.  My guess is that the holes were drilled by mistake at the factory and they were filled with bolts.

    Yeah it must be the manual washer pump.  Interesting.  As far as I know those bolts were there from the factory.  Thanks for the info all.  I now wish I had filled those holes before I painted the car!  lol   Oh well, I went ahead and used one of the holes to mount the Maxi-fuse for the Painless wiring harness.
