"Early" 73 trunk weather strip
« on: July 12, 2011 - 01:41:10 AM »
My head is spinning... mostly from the exhaust I'm choking down when driving... cough...  I want to seal my trunk and trying to find the right weather strip is provinging a challenge.

Evidently the trunk was changed in "early" '73  (mine was born June 29th).  So I'm not sure what part to buy... I'm looking at softseal part 3302...  but the description is confusing as to if it will fit (I have a question in to them).

I'm also looking at Classic Industries part MD2097  http://www.classicindustries.com/mopar/parts/md2097.html  <click - Read more to reveal the issue>

Any thoughts on this?  Parts you've used?  What's the difference?   :pullinghair:

Thank you,

Alan

Maybe coming in through the trunk extension area? Start by stuffing in some rags and if that helps maybe some foam sealer down there.  exhaust leaks into the cabin are dangerous.
