69 hemi roadrunner in local junk yard
« on: December 22, 2004 - 06:20:18 PM »
Bet that got your attention.
I saw this roof line from 100 yds away.
Had to crawl across the tops of pickups for 100 yds cause the whole section of this gravel pit was flooded 3 feet deep. Very slippery.
I figured so one had ever gone to this trouble so maybe it would be a hemi car. Good logic eh?
So I get there and it has a nice shiney vin tag, decoded as 318. Oh well, its still cool.
and I think its a satellite not a roadrunner anyway (its the blue top in the pics)
It was a great day.
Going back in two weeks to spend the entire day and hope to get the mustang.
also found an old school bus packed full of mint 65,66,67,68 mustang fenders, doors, seats, grills etc. Parts look like they have been in the bus for decades.

Hey B5, is the Demon the orange one with the black side stripe someone is standing next to? Is it worth saving and will he sell it? If you are going back there, would you mind checking on it and looking it over a bit? Thanks!!

Hey P6P,
No, the orange car with the black billboards is a duster, not the demon.
I did not get a pic of the demon.
I am going back the 2nd sat in Jan maybe sooner.
The demon said "sizzler" on the hood, but did not have dual hood scoops as I recall.
I will check it out, get pics for you.
send me your email and I will send pic to you.
my email is: smknowles@verizon.net
