you dont want the dana with the anti lock ring gear, and you dont want a van dana they are like a dana 61, you also want the dana to be a 3/4 ton and not a 1 ton. Axle tubes very in thicknes. The dana you have will fit the bill with no problems. You will have to cut your driveshaft down an inch less than your 8 3/4. It is more like 15/16ths, but 1 inch is good. Doc differential makes a weld on snubber kit for under 60 bucks. Really easy to install, I recomend using it. When you weld the axle flanges on, remember to get the correct pinion angle on them so you dont have vibration issues. Wedge shims take up need space off of your u bolts
