Qtr regulator
« on: August 01, 2011 - 11:34:56 AM »
I'm trying to mount the qtr window regulators. On the left side the window does not roll down all the way.On the passenger side everything seems to work ok.
Cant see that anything stops it on the way down.Do I have 2 regulators for the right hand side perhaps? They both works on that side.
One is stamped:EMF45R the other has no markings. They look similar?
Thanks/Roger

Those are tricky the first couple of times.
I'll assume you have all of the hardware, and tracks.I spent a lot of time degreasing mine, then coating them with fresh grease, mounting them again and again to get the feel of how they needed to load and operate.
It was a lot of trial and error on my part, with some cross reference from my body manual.
What I did was loosely installed the window and guidetrack.
In this picture you will note that my lower L bracket Wichita mounts the guide track to the body is from the opposite side of the car, but it will show you how to get the window down all the way.
There are two bolts on the guide track that control the bump stop for the guide assembly.
Loosen those, then drop the window.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.Found the problem, both regulators were  for the right hand side.
Mounted one marked EMF45L,works much better.
One more quesion:Is the rear track just supposed to be secured on the wheelhouse bracket with the little metal clip and bolt on the
body on the upper end?
