Outer wheelhouse convertible
« on: July 28, 2011 - 01:04:12 PM »
Together with quarterskins I have bought the outer wheelhouses but they don't look anything like the ones my car has. :eek4: Does convertibles have another kind of solution for the wheelhouse?
I hope the quarterskins are useable? :clueless: It's all from AMD.

Shelby Dogg did a real nice thread on his convertible: http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=44869.0
Great info.
You'll have to modify your parts to use on your convertible.

Thanks for the link Mike  Now I know that I have to find a proffesional for the rear of the car. :eek4: The front and floors are OK to do with just a good welder but quarters and the wheelhouses needs an expert.

How much is rotted?  Just cut out what you need and butt weld away.  No need to replace the whole thing.

Well, one side is very bad and the other is most around the wheelopening. I went after the concept -" a man gotta know his limitations" and have
therefor bought practicly all new bodypanels to save workingcost at a bodyshop if it needs to go there which I now see will be most necessary.

Here's a link to my project:
