I've been looking around the forums here for awhile now, and I've finally decided it was time to make an account. I'll write a little bit about myself (boring) and then I'll move on to the car (
).
I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I've recently graduated from highschool and I'm planning on going to college. I guess I'm like every other guy, I like fast cars and hot women.
The car is a 1970 Challenger, handed down from my Dad to me. A bit of history about the car, some guy used it as a race car and he did every possible thing to make the car look as horrible as possible. From the shag-carpet laid down in the interior, to the side pipes that fell off years ago, to the mudflaps.
The car was originally a burnt orange exterior and interior 383 column shifter SE. The previous owner did move it from the column to the floor. I drove the car for one summer, and we decided we were going to restore it. We didn't do anything last fall or during the winter because of school and sports, and we started taking the car apart this summer.
I've added a pair of picture (I think), one is from last summer when it actually ran, the other is from a couple weeks ago (since then we've got the dash/seatbelts/roof counsel out).
