Assembly line markings
« on: August 07, 2011 - 06:59:24 PM »
Is there an online guide I can find to tell me what assembly line markings should be on my 70 t/a challenger? I was looking to adding a few back to it if I could find out how to do it correctly.

Not all cars got the same markings.  Every car was different.  Use the car itself as a guide.  The problem with adding marks that you see on others cars is that your car may not have originally had them.  Then someone else who is restoring a T/A looks at your car and puts the same marks on his.  Before you know it, a lot of cars out there have incorrect markings on them just because someone "thought" they should be there.

All the parts need to be cleaned and inspected carefully so any original markings aren't detroyed.  Only put back the markings that you know for sure came on your car. :2cents:
