What can you guys tell me about the 1965 426 Wedge?

Compare to 440, 426 HEMI, or other engines

65 Satellite     361 Ruby Red Poly
72 Challenger    360 Top Banana

its a 440 with less cubes . the block isnt reinforced like the later models (dosnt matter under 600hp) . to compare it to a hemi well its not.

unless doing a resto, basically, a hard to find pistons for engine than the 413 engine. Sure, having a 426 MAX WEDGE, complete with crossrams looks cool....

We had a guy here that had a MW426 in a 1964 Plymouth and thought it was the "End all" for performance Big Blocks. Until a friends little blue Valiant crushed his dual carb'd Wedge with a basically stock .030 over 440.

Again, good engine, but when you can get pistons for the 440 cheaper and more plentiful, it kinda makes that engine a hard sell.
