Trying to get original car back in the fmaily
« on: August 11, 2011 - 02:41:40 PM »
I am looking for my dad's original 71 Plum Crazy Challenger.  I have tried to do VIN searches but it looks like anything pre 80' is not tracked.  Anyone have an idea how I could find the original VIN and then try to track it down?  Would love to get original car back in the family.  Thanks

Just out of curiosity, how long has the car been out of your family?

When you say "Anyone have an idea how I could find the original VIN and then try to track it down?"
Does that mean you don't know the original VIN number? If you don't, that's sure gonna be tough?

I assume he does know the VIN since he did a search.    :dunno:

But I agree. Without knowing the VIN, you are are pretty much screwed.
