Not soon enough Brad...... :walkaway:

I still have more parts to buy and then I have to pull everything out from under it as I am re doing the drive train completely.  I hope to start on it this fall and be done by the first of the year.

LOL Ya I hear that. They are never "done" what are you going to use for a tranny? I ask as I'm starting a 451 build now and still looking at tranny options. I don't think the "stock" 727 would live behind what I'm planning? :dunno:

Yes, never truly "done" and I think I like it that way.  :rofl smiley:

My plan was/is to use the Tremec 5sp but after reading about the shifting issues on it, I may go with Brewsters 5 sp.......if I can swallow the price.   :scared: 

That will be my last big purchase, before the tear down and transformation begins, and I will need to make my mine up soon, as in the next month or two.  :clueless:  what to do waht to do.  :dunno:

I have seen a 727 live in a tube chassis race car with a blown 440 running on race slick making about 1200 hp . the problem with the 727 is not strength , it is the missing OD gear

I'm sure a 727 can be built to live, I'm just asuming with about 2X the stock power levels that my stock? 727 might end up in pieces? I agree it could use an OD!  I really like the Keisler set up but can't/won't spend 5K to get it. I think it would be cheaper to just rebuild the 727  while the motor is out. If the Keisler set was 3K I'd bite,,,, but not 5K.

Moparts race section, there is a guy selling his adaptor assembly to put a 518 on a big block. New in the box 400 bucks.   Seems like a good way to get an overdrive cheap enough

Thanks! I would like a cheaper or piece together myself kit to use the 4L60 . The 518 is pretty heavy.
