Now 1:25 assembled promo 2010 Challengers
« on: August 25, 2011 - 10:06:51 AM »
Remember the promotional models you could get at the dealerships in the 50's and 60's, nicknamed "promos"? AMT is now offering some 2010 Challengers in colored plastic pre-assembled. Check them out at link below.

I got one of the purple ones months ago when they first came out.  Pretty cool.  I also got one of the orange SRT8's that came out in late 2008.  Wish they had a B5 classic like my car, but at least I was able to get a couple of the 1:18 diecast B5 Wix Challengers, so I can't complain.

Purple does seem to be the one that sells the most, but the others (blue, fuschia, yellow) are selling decent too. Fun little cars.

Jim, can't tell exactly in the pic but what shade blue is this car?  Is it B-5 or Petty Blue (Super Blue)?  :clueless:  It looks like Petty Blue but not sure as this isn't a factory offered color?  :dunno:  Thanks!

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

It is Petty Blue. My guess is someone at AMT saw the one special built in this color and they just made it. It's not always "car guys" making choices at the manufacturer level. Still a good looking car (like Petty?).
